No Air Conditioning due to solar power limitations . You may bring your own portable Air Conditioner unit along with a generator to power it, but the generator must be shut off between 11 P.M. & 7A.M. for quiet hours. However, multiple fans are provided which are powered by the solar system and all the tents have window screens in every panel all the way around for a great cross breeze. We also have a Coolaroo 90 percent shade fabric awning over the tent to help block out direct heat from the sun, as well as create a nice shady front porch.
No Heat due to solar power limitations. You may bring your own portable electric ceramic heater (no propane!) unit along with a generator, but the generator must be shut off between 11 P.M. & 7A.M. for quiet hours. We do provide multiple blankets in winter; please dress for the weather.

Large parties should consider renting the pavillion directly through the State Park.
The bath-house is approximately 500 feet or about a minute walk from the Glamping Sites. It includes, showers, toilets, and sinks and is handicapped accessible.

We welcome well behaved dogs, and there are no size or breed restrictions. Service animals do not count as pets but should still be listed on the reservation in case of emergency. Cats and other domestic animals are not allowed in the tents. Horses are allowed at equestrian sites or in the horse barn, but not at Comfy Camping Glamping Sites. Please keep your pet on a leash and under your control at all times, and pick up after them. NEVER leave a pet alone in a tent. The park rangers have your reservation on file. If someone is in the rangers station at the entrance to the park, simply tell them you have a Comfy Camping reservation, and they will give you a parking pass and direct you to the campground. If there is no ranger at the station, you may go ahead to your reserved site by following signs to the campground. Check your reservation to see if you are on Site A, B, or C. The sites are marked. Then go to the bulletin board by the bath house and sign in and get your parking pass to display on your windshield. Check in begins at 3 P.M. (If you plan to leave the park after dark you will need a code to re-enter. It is on the back of your parking pass, or you can call us in advance if you will be arriving after dark.)
Check out is no later than 11 A.M. due to a strict cleaning schedule required to turn the glamping sites over for the next guest. Please be aware that the State Park staff do not have the ability to change that time. There are posted instructions inside the tent. Empty garbage (dumpster nearby,) wash dishes at bathhouse, empty cooler, put wet towels in cooler, then close all windows and doors including zippers please, and leave one fan on low. If you rented a portable toilet, the Comfy Camping cleaning staff will take care of dumping and cleaning it; do not dump it yourself. Comfy Camping is open from 9 A.M. - 7 P.M. for normal business at 813-713-3818. You may still call after normal business hours if you have a Comfy Camping related emergency. If you have an emergency that requires medical attention, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room which is Brandon Hospital. Firewood and ice are usually available for purchase at the rangers station during business hours. The nearby Ace Hardware also sells firewood and 8oz Butane canisters for cooktops (NOT the lighter refills) as well as other camping supplies. The nearby Circle K also sells ice. The nearby Dollar General sells ice, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, charcoal, lighter fluid, and more... Sometimes other campers will leave butane cans , wood, or fire starters for other guests to use. You can also purchase wood and fire starters ahead of time as an add-on during the reservation process.
The tent is treated with a waterproof spray and there is also an additional rain fly, so generally speaking, the tent stays dry inside. If you leave the windows or doors open, rain may come inside. Simply close the windows and use a towel to dry the floor. There are games included for entertainment, or we suggest going out to some of our favorite dining and venues nearby: Fishhawk Pizza, Smokey Joes Barbeque, Rick's Custom Meats, and the White Oak Cottage (restaurant and fabulous home decor store.)
